The charming county seat of Iron County, with a historic courthouse square, brick storefronts, and a surprisingly good dining scene for a small town.
Ironton is the seat of Iron County and the most vibrant of the valley's small towns. Its historic courthouse square, ringed by brick storefronts, is home to several of the valley's best restaurants — including Checo's Mexican Restaurant, the Iron Mule, and the Rustler Cafe — plus a coffee shop and small shops.
Ironton, Arcadia, and Pilot Knob sit so close together that they're often spoken of as one community, and the town makes a pleasant, walkable base for a valley visit. Don't miss the sunset views from nearby Shepherd Mountain.
